This album is a celebration of the former Genesis front man's best solo work. There are 30 tracks in total spread across 2 CDs. The inlay booklet is 20 pages long but not impressive as it just has production credits for each song on alternate pages and photographs on alternate pages but no song lyrics or anything else unusual or interesting. The tracks which appear on the album and which I like a lot are "Solisbury Hill", "Sledgehammer", "Don't Give Up" (duet with Kate Bush), "Games Without Frontiers", "Biko", "Signal To Noise" and "Downside Up" (Live). This is the best collection of Peter Gabriel tracks available as it includes his older work as well as much newer tracks, studio recordings, new mixes and live tracks. The album is a 2 CD collection. CD 1 is subtitled 'HIT' implying that the songs on this side of the album are chart hits or commercially successful. The better known hits are: Solisbury Hill Shock the Monkey Sledgehammer Don't Give Up Big Time Games Without Frontiers Steam Biko and the lesser known hits are perhaps: Burn You Up, Burn You Down Growing Up Digging in The Dirt Blood of Eden More Than ... Awake - Crematory
Strong modern gothic metal album.
Becomes repetitive and a little dull
A-town Secret Weapon - Baby D
Bangers throughout
Nothing specific
Back to the Known - Bad Religion
Glorious return to the older style that still moves forward, with a few early classics.
Only ten minutes long, and some songs are less fun.
Las Ruinas Del Eden - Avalanch
Kaleidoscope - Siouxsie and the Banshees - Soundtrack
Great songs
A couple of weaker tracks
Ad Interitum Funebrarum - Argentum
Excellent atmospheric doom/black metal, with a Mexican spin.
Fades to background music if you're not paying attention.
Symbolic - Death
Superbly crafted death metal compositions, and a spectacular performance all-round.
Songs may be too long or intricate for casual listeners.
Metamorphogenesis - Esoteric
Haunting funeral doom metal that won't bore the patient listener.
Third song is too similar to the second.
Krush Groove - Soundtrack
Soundtrack - 1985
X Japan - Dahlia
Loud, fast metal songs, mixed in with slow epic ballads
"White Poem I" just isn't up to scratch and would have been better left out
