Wildflower - Sheryl Crow
by JayHall1991 - written on 14/03/06 (Very useful, 246 readings)
Rating:
a pleasing new age twang, Crow and her gang of musicians craft a gorgeous world of hippy-dippy sentimentality and hard edged anger that always engages me. I never really liked Sheryl Crow under I hit my twenties and now she has to rank as one of my favourite female vocalists, I love her sweet but powerful voice that hides just enough country finesse to keep me smiling and think she always produces polished, intriguing albums that have really intelligent, evocative lyrics and a real ‘moments’ feeling. When I listen to Wildflower it always reminds me of a really great movie soundtrack in the sense that it provokes emotions, it enhances simple moments and is just great for ...

Very Best Of Sheryl Crow - Sheryl Crow
by benlepensive - written on 19/02/09 (Very useful, 29 readings)
Rating:
She might not have the face of Britney or the body of Christina, yet Sheryl remains a reliable source of musical entertainment. Delivering non threatening pop rock anthems with just the right hint of country about them. Who is she: US singer/songwriter Sheryl broke onto the UK music scene with her single All I Wanna Do . Worldwide, she has shifted millions of albums. On this album: Collecting her best and biggest hits over the years, it starts, as it should with All I Wanna Do. This has the most appetising guitar hook running through it, which transports you straight into some smoky bar in Nashville. It is a lightheaded song that sounds even better after a beer or ...

Very Best Of Sheryl Crow - Sheryl Crow
by IainWear - written on 28/05/05 (Very useful, 191 readings)
Rating:
I’ve always thought of Sheryl Crow as being a very middle of the road artist, kind of like a solo female version of Dire Straits – inoffensive, but not especially appealing. I’d vaguely enjoyed the singles she’d released, but without ever becoming a fan, seeing them as a kind of background music, the kind of pop with a slight country edge that my parents might enjoy, but which never really enticed me to make an album purchase. This makes me the perfect market for a “Greatest Hits” album. I’ve often seen “Greatest Hits” albums as a bit of a rip off, usually because they add in a couple of new tracks, or new versions of old song to persuade the dedicated fan of the ...

Products similar to Hits & Rarities - Sheryl Crow
Illusions - Crematory
Accomplished mix of gothic styles.
Moves away from death metal.
The Enchanted Hill - Album Leaf, The
More pleasant post-rock soundscapes.
Becomes fairly dull and repetitive, and lacks in emotion.
Atlantis - Atlantis
Strong symphonic presence through keyboards, and some nice lead guitars.
Feels cluttered and in need of a darn good editing.
Strength Through Torture - Armagedda
Good old traditional black metal, in slow and fast versions.
Only two songs, and nothing spectacular happens.
Blood, Sweat & Tears 4 - Blood, Sweat and Tears
Pop Rock - 1996
Swanlike - Dark Suns
For Opeth fans...
...but it's Opeth Lite.
Until Eternity Ends - Edge of Sanity
Continuing to experiment with melody in the death metal genre.
Four sub-standard songs.
Last Christmas - Crazy Frog
None
Everything about it!
