The riffs on this album are brilliant. Sam Carters vocals have improved alot, not only does he sound even more vehement and angry, is range is much better. Also he goes against the stereotype that metal vocalist scream because they cant sing normally, with his beautiful clean sung chorus'.

Hollow Crown by Architects is their best album in my opinion. They have sacrificed technicality for a more melodic, accessable sound which i think is a good move for securing the fans they deserve and the recognition they should get. Saying this, the guitars and drums are still insanly technical, just listen to the brutal opener, "Early Grave", whose downtuned shredding sound more like Meshuggah than Architects.
