Billie's debut album came as something of a small surprise to me, as I figured she would have one big hit then vanish into thin air. Luckily, she stunned the music industry by following up with a second number one single and a moderately successful album. Who is she: Billie Paul Piper found fame in Smash Hits magazine before landing a record deal. She then turned her attentions to acting. Highlights: Off to a lively start with 'Because We Want To' which is an unashamed pop ditty full of cheer and promise. Her vocals are girly and playful and the song benefits from a wicked chorus with chanting, in playground sort of style. ... Read the complete review

So, Billie was the original "teen singer"? She's also the crappiest, thing to happen to the music industry since...well actually I don't think there's ever been anybody as bad as her. Here's the deal. She can't sing to save her life, she can't dance and she could give Daphne and Celeste laryngitis. Her songs also all sound like playground chants. Especially "Girlfriend" or if you say it the way she sings it then its "Gullfriend". Her inability to pronounce even the simplest of words like any other human being is very very irritating. Her debut single "Because we want to" was a squeaky, over ... Read the complete review

My one idol and life inspiration is most definitely Billie Piper. She's a fantastic actress and has what I can only seem to think is a great personality. Though as well as this, she is also a great singer. One of her albums is Honey To The B. Honey To The B was Billie's debut album when she was just 16, and has 12 tracks - all different and fantasic. Some of these tracks are really upbeat and perfect for dancing to! These include songs such as Because We Want To (no.1 chart topper) and She Wants You. Though, some songs are more slow and good for the vocally talented, such as Honey To The Bee, and Don't Forget To Remember. These songs have a catchy ... Read the complete review

Billie Piper. Formerly Billie - clean cut, girl-next-door, annoying and from Swindon. But now she's rediscovered her surname, learnt from the Book of Britney and finds she just can't get clothes to cover her midriff. After bursting into our lives 2 years ago as a chirpy 15 year old, she became the face of pre-pubescent must-read Smash Hits, had a few #1s, released an album and then disappeared from the public eye. Then something happnened. Britney Spears. After capturing the hearts of the fickle pop pickers. Britney was promptly joined by Christina, Jessica and Mandy and Billie was forgotten about, famous only for being the girlfriend of the Julian Clary ... Read the complete review

A sorry excuse for a debut album, Billie has showed us that you can get a recording contract without having any talent at all. Her first single “Because We Want To” along with second and third “Girlfriend” & “She Wants You” are very likely to get on your nerves with their constant repeating of lines like “because we want to! Because we want to! I know she wants you, she wants you. I know she wants you, she wants you and do ya, do ya, do ya have a girlfriend?” show that this girl is corny to the core and not about to stop. “Honey To The Bee” was sickening just like the rest of her pointless ...
