A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to. I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you, because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-) Housework vol 1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie. The songs on this album just make you feel good and ... Read the complete review

I stumbled across 'Housework Songs' at amazon and bought it as a tongue-in-cheek present for a friend who got married. But then I wanted to keep it! This two-cd box just has every song I'd ever want to sing along to while vacuuming, dusting or really even just sitting at my computer writing this. This cd is very diverse in terms of eras: from the Sixties e.g. Monkees and the Beach Boys via Diana Ross, Irene Cara and Tiffany to Katie Melua, Jamelia and Kylie Minogue. It's also fairly diverse in music styles, as the above list shows although it's all pretty 'easy listening', or 'easy sing-along-able' as the case may be. Housework Songs is a double CD compilation album. The idea is that these songs are all suitable to listen to whilst doing the housework so easing the load and making the dutiful chores a little more enjoyable. On the front cover is a picture of a woman (rather sexist, men do the housework too! At least they do in my house!) singing into her vacuum cleaner. There are 41 songs on the album and there is a good mixture with something for everyone. We have songs from the 1960s including "Pretty Woman", and "Respect", in the 1970s we have "You Sexy Thing" and "American Pie", the 1980s gives us "Fame" and "I Think We're ... Products similar to Housework Songs Vol.1
The Struggle - Cappadonna
Magnificent tracks like Cappadonna's MAMMA displays ROLE OF A LIFETIME in social Hip Hop.
Awful tracks like DO IT PUSH forced me to go through THE STRUGGLE in hearing simplistic lyrics.
Somewhere In The Between - Streetlight Manifesto
An album full of catchy, well put together songs
A fairly short album (10 songs) and not as energetic as debut
Tha Blue Carpet Treatment - Snoop Dogg
A few bangers
Some big slips
R&g - Rhythm And Gangster: The Masterpiece - Snoop Dogg
A few big tunes
Inconsistent
Reason To Believe - Pennywise
Some of the tracks are quite interesting, 'Next in Line' is an excellent closing track.
The album is largely disappointing and for the most part lacking in life.
Generation X - Generation X
Some solid pop-punk
Well, diversity isn't something it has in spades
Firing Squad - M.O.P.
Many classic Hip Hop tracks designed with WORLD FAMOUS production from Big Jaz and Primo.
M.O.P.'s FIRING SQUAD lyrics may be too hardcore for most of you pop music fans
Face Off - Bow Wow and Omarion
Friendly and innocent artists, singing about things slightly less innocent
Not a great mix of tracks
21 - Omarion
'Just That Sexy', Omarion brings you to his knees
'Midnight', yet still look forward to a third studio solo attempt
Welcome To The Dollhouse - Danity Kane
Some good sounding songs
Some cheesy girl group songs.
