There's A Poison Goin' On - Public Enemy
by Sugar Matty O - written on 09/07/01 (Very useful, 63 readings)
Rating:
Yes, there is a poison going on, but this is one infection that’s well worth spreading. The Enemy is back having prized itself from corporate strangleholds to give to the Public their eighth album and its original all-star cast. Fourteen tracks worth of heavy-hitting vocals and idiosyncratic rhythms later, and this is one Enemy who are bound to remain popular after this latest trip into insight as well as incitement. Muse Sick-n-hour Mess Age - Public Enemy
by Nickodemus - written on 09/06/00 (Useful, 42 readings)
Rating:
The band themselves admitted that this album didn't have the appeal of the rest, which is in some parts true. Several tracks are quite harsh such as, Godd complexx, hitler day, race against time. Again PE attacks current problems such as the growing misrepresentation of the black community through gangsta rap, the problems of a majority white ...

Fear Of A Black Planet - Public Enemy
by joe-91 - written on 09/05/08 (Somewhat useful, 11 readings)
Rating:
it is an amazing album. It boasts 20 tracks with "Fight the power" being my favourite of the album. With tracks named "Power to the people", "Burn hollywood burn" and "Leave this off your Fu*kin charts" you can tell that this album is full of emotion and that Public Enemy have something to say. To conclude i would definately reccomend this album to a fan of any genre of music. It is a wonderful album and will appeal to most people. It is a great example of rap compared to the modern crap of Fifty Cent and other rappers putting o0ut a negative message to young ...
