Advantages: Laidback style, very mellow, "Saint"

Disadvantages: Not the most memorable album

The Hush was Texas' attempt to follow up the success of White On Blonde. While its not quite as good overall, its still a listenable album.

The first thing you notice about this album is the very laidback style of it all. A number of tracks have a Motown feel to them. The best tracks are "Saint" (which should have been one of their singles), and the instrumental Zero Zero. The most well-known tracks are "Summer Son", a straightforward piece of rock/pop, and the slightly oriental sound of "In Our Lifetime".

This album may not impress at first, but its definitely a grower. Its maybe not the most memorable album, but its still worth a listen.
