It also seems that in some parts of the song he's possibly referring to a romance, and in other parts referring to the music business - even possibly writing the song as if it was coming from someone else. A song about being on the edge of isolation, and being time for a change of direction, loss of peace of mind and not being true to oneself - which is very easy to listen to, and I'd guess it would be an excellent starting point for any stranger to Van's music who wants to familiarise...more
