I Am The Greatest - A House

Here's a record worth listening to. Its got great songs, both tunes and lyrics and its delivered in a way that makes you feel like the band are fairly commited. I once saw them live as a support act and the effect they had on the audience was incredible. They really got the place rocking. Back to the album though. I bought this album many years ago (probably 1993 on the strength of one track, Cotton Pickers, that was part of a Setanta record sampler tape. Produced by Edwyn Collins (he of Orange Juice fame) in 1992, 'I Am The Greatest' received much critical acclaim at the time of its release but precious few sales outside of Ireland. Dave Couse, angry man, thinker, live wire and historical paisley shirt wearer was the driving force behind one of the early nineties most neglected bands, A House.
