i was as shocked at hearing about Aaliyah's death as much as anyone who is a fan of music and especially urban music. i remember getting her self titled album 'Aaliyah' one week before she tragically passed away and then hearing the news that she had died a week later on TV. her first album release after her death, 'I Care 4 U' is a mixture of Aaliyah's greatest hits and also 6 unreleased tracks. i remember being very interested in hearing the unreleased tracks as Aaliyah is my favorate female RnB artist. ill take you through each song from I Care 4 U album. Track 1- Back and Forth i hadnt heard this song for ... Read the complete review

[Background] I remember the day that I heard Aaliyah had passed away. It was August 27th 2001. I had just arrived home after a three-month trip to Boston, USA. I remember reading it on BBC1 Ceefax. I was utterly shocked-& upset. I was in total disbelief. I hadn't known much about Aaliyah for long before then. I had really only got to know her after downloading her massive hit single "Try Again". I saw the film "Romeo Must Die" and when her third album "Aaliyah" was released in July 2001, I bought it and really started to love her music. A postcard advertising the Aaliyah album was given out in music stores in Boston. ... Read the complete review

I think its fair to say that everyone knows that I am a dedicated Aaliyah fan. Ever since she died she seems to have been catapulted into the limelight but to me it just seems like it was for all the wrong reasons. The number one single was rather unexpected, well deserved but unrealistic. Anyway when I heard her record label were going to release an album of unreleased songs I knew I simply had to get my hands on a copy and logged onto to a website to pre-order it. Luckily it arrived the first Monday it was out and straight away I put it on in my CD player to be met with some beautiful past hits and some unfamiliar yet harmonious tunes. Ever since Aaliyah died ... Read the complete review
Products similar to I Care 4 U - Aaliyah
Ziemia I Slonce - Ankh
Sometimes successful blending of rock instruments with classical folk violin.
Sometimes not.
The Girl Who Couldn't Fly - Kate Rusby
Beautiful, often haunting
sometimes you want something a little more upbeat..in which case put something else on
Sap - Alice in Chains
Some nice acoustic songs to break up the discography, and some notable guest performers.
Too rooted in blues and repetition to be of real interest.
Monolith - Amebix
Insight into death metal's beginnings.
Too firmly rooted in the past.
Mendelssohn: 5 Symphonies; 7 Overtures
Good, solid performances of all the works
As usual with compilations, some performances better that others
Martyn Joseph - Martyn Joseph
Great guitars, honest and powerful lyrics
Depends whether you like the genre
Divinity - Altaria
High quality pop power metal with a broad appeal.
Too repetitive, simplistic and fruity for more seasoned metal fans.
Captain Morgan's Revenge - Alestorm
Hearty tales of wenches and conquest, performed with vigour and power.
Still reliant on others' established styles at this stage.
Andromeda Unchained - Anubis Gate
High quality and still accessible outer-space prog metal.
Some songs are too similar, and it lacks originality.
Alice In Hell - Annihilator
Interesting and different thrash metal.
Bizarreness may obstruct casual listeners.
