This, in my opionion, is the best album made by the Aphex Twin. Widely considered Aphex Twin's (aka Richard D. James)landmark album, ICBYD ranks as some of his best (and most consistantly good) work ever. Some listeners may find it 'difficult'- it's dance music that you wouldn't want to dance to. This album is arguably Richard's most intelligent work, with haunting melodies and themes that cover a wide range of musical genres, including jungle, ambient, house, techno and others. Yes, oh yes. This album is indeed a work of art. I you have any interest in progressive, interesting electronic music, then you must check out the Aphex Twin. And if you're looking to check out the Aphex Twin, then look no further, as I Care Because You Do is a superb introduction to this genius of a musician. In all my dance/electronic musical trawlings, I have yet to come across a man as innovative as Richard D. James (who has also appeared as Polygon Window, Caustic Window & AFX, among others).
