I wasn't that familiar with Lonestar before I got this album and bought this solely because I loved the song, I'm Already There. I had heard it on the radio several time and learnt the name of the band and after looking them up I saw that they have been very active in the music industry for quite a few years now. According to an article I read, "To date, Lonestar has sold over 10 million albums, with ten #1 country hits as well as nine Top 40 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 charts including "I'm Already There," "Come Cryin' To Me" and their smash, "Amazed," which spent eight weeks at the #1 spot on the country charts as well as reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The dual win made them the first country act since Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton's "Islands In the Stream" in 1983 to accomplish this career milestone." The band is made up of four guys, Michael Britt, Cody Collins, Keech Rainwater and Dean Sams. Together I think they have a really nice sound, to me its very easy listening country, nothing too outrageous and nothing too country if you know what I mean, just good old country love songs that you can sing along too. I think most of their songs are very catchy and a lot of their songs have lyrics that repeat so you get to learn them very quickly and can sing along very quickly. This album is one I definitely knew all the words to in a very short space of time and its one I enjoy. I will talk about a few of my favourite tracks now. Every little thing she does (no, is not magic) is a sweet love song but whenever I see the title I always think of The Police song! Anyway, in this song, Lonestar talk about being in love with a girl just watching her do ordinary things like painting her toe nails or dancing to the radio. It has these lyrics in it which I think are lovely: Every little thing she does Every little thing she does I keep fallin' in love with every single Simple, ordinary little thing she does She's Unusually Unusual is about a girl who moves into town, Amy who says, "I've just moved in three doors down so I wouldn't be the girl next door!" She's that kind of girl who really is different and attracts a guys attention and has something about her that makes her unusual but attractive. Like I've said above, I mainly bought this album because I absolutely adore track number 7, I'm already there. It's quite a poignant song for me, my husband travels quite a bit for work and he calls home to talk to the kids and me everynight and this song is about a man who calls home and they are all telling him that they miss him and asking him when he is coming home and he says, I'm already there. What he says to his wife is lovely: I'm already there Don't make a sound I'm the beat in your heart I'm the moonlight shining down I'm the whisper in the wind And I'll be there until the end Can you feel the love that we share Oh I'm already there We may be a thousand miles apart But I'll be with you wherever you are The rest of the tracks are as follows: 1. Out Go The Lights 2. Unusually Unusual 3. Not A Day Goes By 4. I Want To Be The One 5. With Me 6. Without You 7. I'm Already There 8. Let's Bring It Back 9. Must Be Love 10. Softly 11. Every Little Thing She Does 12. Like A Good Cowboy 13. No Greater Love It's not groundbreaking but its good. All the lyrics are catchy, upbeat country songs.
