It makes you think back about the lyrics and revise your opinion on them, which is just so Morrissey like. It's a very radio-friendly song and it should appeal to a wide market. It's structured to be a catchy pop song and it works very well. On the b-side, 'Shame Is The Name', in true Morrissey fashion is an excellent track. Through...more

'I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris' is the leading single from Morrissey's latest album, 'Years of Refusal'. What is obvious to me right from the start is the beautiful piano line through the song, it's a lovely sounding melody. Morrissey's voice really compliments the music well and vice versa. Lyrically, it is typically brilliant from Morrissey. The earliest commerically available recordings of Madonna, Madonna plays guitar on some tracks, Totally original material Remixes not as interesting (minor gripe!)

Historical record of a legendary stage show. It's a godawful racket.

great material of the 70's and 80's the early 90's songs

Pop Rock - 2000

hugely atmospheric, varied, well constructed songs Some may consider their retro stylings dated (but that would be missing the point)

Hugely atmospheric, excellent songwriting Can take a number of listens to really get into.

Fantastic mix of Metalcore and Post-Hardcore. May be a little too heavy for some.

Three Imaginary Boys - The Cure
The cover of Foxy Lady is insanely good, Smith's take on new-wave/punk is different A couple of the songs do little to stand out

The Merciless - Aura Noir
Old-school thrashy black metal for those who feel modern black metal has lost its way. Short and lacking in originality.

A brilliantly unpredictable album which is always a joy to listen to. Not a fan of Melodic Hardcore? Not one for you.

Ride It and Love Never Loved Me Some weak dud songs here and there

Impossible Princess - Kylie Minogue
A superb and personal album that is thought provoking and musically diverse The fact that in the blink of an eye, this path was abandoned in favour of a return to pop

Quality music, vocals, lyrics Quite depressing

Ionica Minune - Ionica Minune
Crazy accordian music Rest of the band hang back to let him strut his stuff a bit too much at times
