Advantages: Only £8, superb live versions of classics, exclusive track "True Love Waits"
Disadvantages: Only 8 tracks
THUMBS UP TO RADIOHEAD FOR PRODUCING THIS LIVE EP! When I found out that Radiohead would be releasing a live album, I thought "Brilliant! I shall buy it straight away!". Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that 'I Might Be Wrong' would be an EP rather than an album. Thankfully, it is a great CD. For just £8 you get an 8-track CD featuring live performances from their Kid A / Amnesiac tours. The disc kicks into life with the soaring sound effects of 'The National Anthem' - a great start. The performance is perfect, reflecting Radiohead's great live ability. Radiohead have the ability to take a studio-recorded song and change it in such a way that it still sounds good but it is live! The Amnesiac album is represented by title track 'I Might Be Wrong', a superb rendition of 'Like Spinning Plates' and 'Dollars and Cents'. Kid A is represented by 'The National Anthem', 'Morning Bell', 'Idioteque' and the only poor contender 'Everything In Its Right Place'. The disc concludes with the fantastic exclusive track, 'True Love Waits', Thom's live solo acoustic number, which is committed to a recording for the first time. This disc is really good - especially if you are a fan of Radiohead, but even if you find Radiohead a little 'difficult', this is probably the most accessible recording they have done since The Bends. Oh, and one last thing. Radiohead... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have a B-SIDES album?!!!

- 24/11/01 I think Radiohead are brilliant but as I know the songs on the disc so well I just couldn't put any more detail in... I mean, what can I say? I love it. There was a little bit more detail in the first edition of the opinion but as you can see by the comments below... I was wrong. |

- 21/11/01 I would have liked to have seen more detail in this review.
Incident ly, it cost me £10 in Fopp, I presumed it would be the cheapest outlet. I Might Be Wrong, eh?! |
