Advantages: Some of the best Supergrass to date

Disadvantages: None

Well, what can I say. This has to be one of the best albums that I've ever purchased. Unfortunately Supergrass are still one of the most underrated acts in Britain today. This, their debut album, has all the energy and drive that is Supergrass. This album kicks off with the superb 'I'd Like to Know' which is very characteristic of all early Supergrass songs.
Mansize Rooster and Caught by the Fuzz continue the same sort of reggae/indie/rock theme and then you hit the song which launched Supergrass into the big time. I mean of course 'Alright'. This was a huge hit in 1995 and started to make people sit up and think, hey maybe supergrass are alright after all.
As the album progresses, you notice that the songs start to mellow out a little more from the fast paced indie rock at the beginning to Sofa (of my lethargy).
For a debut album, the 'grass did a magnificent job, and they set the stage for 'In it for the money' which shyed away from this album with more deep tracks.
It's got to be said that this album is a lot of fun to listen to and is a modern day classic.

I love them, and also think they should be more acclaimed. They have presence, style and to a woman, a lot of appeal.Magic stuff.
