There is a version of this song on the 'Always and Forever' single, adorned with soothing backing vocals and a touch of guitar, which I would have had in place to make the most of a weak opening to the album. The following song, single 'Formulae' sees the rest of the band come in to a return of the formula employed numerous times throughout their previous album. In what was Hilary Wood's last album with the band also turned out to be JJ72's last. Of course such an event could not be foreseen, and though they were not religious they lent themselves to the spiritual themes of their last album in their split. Perhaps a prayer can change that. Back then when they were promoting this album I got the chance to see them live. I have never been quick to take to new material but that night I felt the songs made an impact. This is the follow up to one of the best debut albums in 2000 and JJ72 have really done them-selves proud. With a more grown up sound Mark Greaney should feel very pleased with the results of two years hard work. Just in case you don't know about JJ72, they are Mark Greaney (Vocals and Guitar), Hilary Woods (Bass) and Fergal Matthews (Drums). Forming the band whilst at school together in Dublin JJ72 have come along with a fantastic debut album 2 years ago followed by an appearance at Reading/Leeds festival, which was the first chance I got to see them even though I have seen them live 4 times since then. Coming out of the shadow of bands like ...  Read the complete review

Vocals and lyrics, Mark Greaney Drums and percussion, Fergal Matthews Bass Guitar, Hilary Woods. This is JJ72's second released album and is actually entitled 'I To Sky' which follows their much acclaimed, inspired titled debut album 'JJ72'. The first album released in September 2000 exceeded expectations really and became a bit of a moneyspinner for Lakota Records and suceeded in wetting fans appetites for future releases. They didn't jump in quickly with another album straight away and seemed content to tour on the back of the success achieved in Britain by visiting Japan and the U.S where they supported Coldplay and ...  Read the complete review
