Its not the Marvin we know and love

I am a serious Marvin Sapp fan and have been with him since nothing else matters till this very day. I am sorry to say that this album though highly anticipated is not what I expected it to be. Firstly i can guarantee you that you will only find two song in this album that you can resonate with. The rest are just those that you skip by trying to find the right song. I can however say that when it comes to quality, Marvin Sapp does not play. You can expect the same high standards from thirsty within this album. It is the same band, same singers, same venue and pretty much the same concept of thirsty, but what has let it down is the quality of songwriting. I believe if Marvin took a bigger role in the songwriting, the album would have been better. I would still say get it. Songs like Glory and deeper are the ones that stood out for me. The rest i need to listen to over and over and maybe i will fall in love with them. Its an okay album for me. Thirsty still is his best work.
