The late seventies represented something of a disappointing artistic slump for Budgie, though their experimentation into areas away from their previously defined sound were still justified, only a little badly chosen. The predominant style here is a meeting between hard rock and funk elements, with little of the heavy metal that characterised the previous release 'Bandolier,' but as the sixth album in six consecutive years, this is all perhaps excusable as an inevitably tired release.
