In the summer months of 2004 Willy and his brother Sam recorded the debut album Where the Humans Eat. The album was released on Conor Obersts Team Love label in the USA in October 2004, and by Virgin Records in the UK in February 2005. Where the Humans Eat and its singles ("Oxygen" and "So Long"), charted in the UK Singles Chart and Albums Chart in 2005.

How I came across this CD: One day my boyfriend asked me if Id like to come to Willy Masons concert. "To who?" I had no idea. "Ill give you some songs to listen - then you tell me if you like it". Said and done. And how could I not like Willy Mason? After listening to his first album "Where the Humans Eat" I was really curious to hear more.
