Time for another album review! This time I really MEAN it when I say I'm not going to do a track by track analysis of it, chiefly because there are 34 tracks to contend with! Today's subject is the recent anthology released by 3 Colours Red entitled "If You Ain't Got a Weapon…" ( a line taken from their song "Nuclear Holiday"). This two CD set was released earlier this year on the Sanctuary Records label and is widely available in all good music stores (as they say on the telly….) as well as online. A strong follow-up to Disintegration. Shows all the different sides of The Cure. It's the follow-up to Disintegration, a very hard act to follow. Wendy Time isn't all that great.

Songs, Atmosphere Brooding

The first half of the album is absolutely excellent. The second half of this release is not so strong.

sublime music, completley different None

Talented lyrical ideas, some really amazing songs If you pick the wrong songs, this album is truly forgettable

Storm Of The Light's Bane - Dissection
Great songwriting, atmosphere, and riffs, powerful atmosphere, varied None

Stormblast - Dimmu Borgir
unique sound still a bit monotonous

Sunflower - Beach Boys
So many greats songs to hear No Bonus tracks

The Book Of Heavy Metal - Dream Evil
Good, fun, musicianship Eurovision vocals

The Diarist - Dark Lunacy
Atmospheric and ambitious. Styles clash at times.

The Gallery - Dark Tranquillity
Great performance all round, not a single bad song. Acoustic sections seem a little rusty, but to me that's just cute.

The Minds I - Dark Tranquillity
Competent melodic death metal. Run out of steam.

The Somberlain - Dissection
Accessible melodic black metal, without conceding. May not paint an entirely accurate picture of the genre.

Symbolic - Death
Superbly crafted death metal compositions, and a spectacular performance all-round. Songs may be too long or intricate for casual listeners.
