Well I've yet to come across better, a bold statement if ever there was one but this is a live album that is a living, breathing work of sheer quality and the energy of the performances as fresh as when they were recorded nearly 26 years ago.I see it has been reviewed three times already - and I will read my fellow reviewee's opinions after I've put in my two penn'eth - but can't help but have my say about this album.I recently bought the remastered CD version but have had it on 12" record for many years now - about 16 yrs and it still plays perfectly. If you want blood.....well you'll find plenty on the cover which has a ... Read the complete review

AC/DC have always, first and foremost, been a live band. In the late seventies there were very few bands that could touch them when it came to putting on a show. It didn't matter if they were playing in a small pub in front of an old man and his dog, or supporting some megastars, like The Who, the end result was invariably the same. One Hell of a good show. This album is a perfect document of that era in AC/DC's history. Here we have a band on the verge of super stardom, and you can tell by the performance that they knew it. This is a remastered copy of the album I'm listening to, and it sounds fresher than it did when it came out all those ... Read the complete review

AC/DC: five pint-sized, sour-faced Aussies whose tough, no-nonsense style has made them rock's ultimate riff machine. Lead guitarist Angus Young - he of the schoolboy uniform - is their totem, but if AC/DC has an unsung hero it is Angus's elder brother, rhythm guitarist Malcolm, who is to AC/DC what Keith Richards is to the Stones. Powerage is the best of these four reissues. Rock'N'Roll Damnation and Sin City are lean and mean and full of the devil-may-care attitude that led, in 1980, to the boozy death of roguish singer Bon Scott but after that the second greatest AC/DC album of '78 was If You Want Blood You've Got It, a raw live recording ... A good album with a great selection of AC/DC's songs. Sung by Bon Scott this is one of his best albums, contains about all the songs by Bon you could want. It contains High Voltage, Let there be Rock, Rossie and The Jack which are all classic songs. It is a live recording and good quality. If you are an AC/DC fan then this is a good CD to start with, it was the first AC/DC CD I bought. Overall a brilliant selection of Bon's songs, sung live yet still a good recording, if you are a fan of the older rock music then this is a good one ... Read the complete review
