Madonna well what can I say I think the name says it all don't you. Well the Immaculate Collection: The Best of Madonna done back in 1990 is the first greatest hit album by the American Singer-songwriter Madonna it contains a few newly remixed versions of her greatest hits from 1982 to 1990. The album may be a bit out of date now but it's still a true classic and to still be around for this long and get people buying and talking about it says a lot about the album and her creative work. Madonna is a true unique artist and is still around till this very present day still making good records and doing well in the charts even at the tender age of 50 years old ... Madonna has got to be one of the most successful female artists, who is still performing and is now currently in her 25th year and still going strong, producing some great tracks and some great albums. Having a whole host of Number 1 selling albums in many countries and having strings of awards under her belt, the music of Madonna will continue to be popular with people of my age and those that have grown up with her music. Although she is still producing some great tracks, I still feel that her music from the early days is a lot better and that is why I love Madonna's Immaculate Collection album so much, which was released in November 1990, and was a ... Madonna. Love her or hate her, but either way, there's no avoiding her; she's been around for nearly twenty years, released over forty singles, more than ten albums, starred in many a film, and is constantly on the news or in the papers. She's everywhere. Infact, she's so everywhere that there has been a suggested conspiracy that she is a free mason and that she is trying to take over the world, even that her songs, played backwards, read out satanic verses. Well, whatever. That's not really my concern when her Immaculate Collection is my most played CD and makes MY collection immaculate. Now for the tracks: 1. Holiday 10/10 This ... What can you say about Holiday? It is one of the most famous songs ever. It has charted three times, doing well every time. It may come as a surprise to people who weren't around at the time, but Holiday wasn't Madonna's first song, though it was her first big hit. Fresh, with a supremely catchy and uplifting tune, you couldn't get away from this song for a few months in 1984. A huge huge hook ensures that this song is as infectious as the plague and this is emphasised by the fact that this track has no structure - it is in effect a prolonged chorus. The song starts with a chord sequence which is reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time' ... Read the complete review

Well Madonna was at the time voted the artist of the decade for the 80’s so this album that has all her 80’s hits must be the best of the 80’s. From holiday to Vogue this album covers the lot, minus a few hits like ‘who’s that girl’ and ‘true blue’ there’s not anything missing. The album is sadly missing most of the lyrics but you shouldn’t be a fan if you don’t know the words. There are lyrics to the two new songs on the album, rescue me and justify my love. Instead of the other lyrics there are a few pictures of Madonna in silly posses and an article on Madonna from a paper. So heres ... Read the complete review
