Madonna has got to be one of the most successful female artists, who is still performing and is now currently in her 25th year and still going strong, producing some great tracks and some great albums. Having a whole host of Number 1 selling albums in many countries and having strings of awards under her belt, the music of Madonna will continue to be popular with people of my age and those that have grown up with her music.
Although she is still producing some great tracks, I still feel that her music from the early days is a lot better and that is why I love Madonna's Immaculate Collection album so much, which was released in November 1990, and was a compilation of some of the best tracks that she had produced over the 7 years of her career to date.

The album itself runs in a consecutive order of hits and shows her talent and the way that she develops as the album progresses. Starting off as a young girl and then slowly the tracks starts to get a litle more raunchy and also you start to see her mature as she gets older.
I have a lot of favourite tracks on this album, Crazy For You has got to be one of my all time favourites though, a ballad in which Madonna sings extremely, shows how talented she is, and the lyrics I find are absolutely brilliant. The song itself goes through the motions of when two people are together alone, and in love, and that you only have to kiss someone to find out how much they are in love with each other. This was one of Madonna's earier tracks that she made and shows a difference from the tracks previous and also the ability that she has to sing a variation of different types of music.
La Isla Bonita is another track that is slightly different to the rest. With a slightly Spanish backing music, to complement the name of the track and the Spanish lyrics that are included in the track.
Having a lot of variation on the album, I particularly like Just Like a Prayer, I have always had a soft spot for gospel choirs. The power of the voices and the combination of Madonna I feel makes this track one of the better tracks on the album.
As we get towards the latter end of the album, I must admit I didn't like the music that she produced towards the late 80's / early 90's, Vogue, Rescue Me and Justify My Love. They show a more erotic nature and I find the tracks to be a little bit bland in comparison to the music that she produced years before. SHe seems to go through various stages, produces a good album and then follows up with one not so good.
Overall though, its a great album to own, can be picked up cheap as chips these days and is one to listen to for a bit of a sing along.
