      Very helpful

      I love Michael Jackson!!

I received this deluxe edition 2 disc album as a present at Christmas. I was thrilled when I opened it and saw that it was a new Michael Jackson album as I am a massive fan of the amazing King Of Pop. I was so excited to put it on and listen to all the songs on it, as even though I had already got most of his albums and had heard most of his songs these songs wre different because they are remixed. They are all remixes so even though this has 27 tracks in total there are far more of Michael's songs actually on this album, because many of the tracks include two or three of his songs mixed in together. The CD also features speeches by Michael for example on track 3 on disc 1, which is 'Childhood (Immortal Version)' (all the tracks are [Immortal Version]) the song has extracts from a speech Michael gave at the Grammys when he accepted an award from his sister Janet Jackson. The speech was truly heartfelt and meaningful and is about how many of the world's problems today are a result of children having their childhood stolen from them. It is so sad to listen to Michael talking about this as a victim of child abuse you can really tell how it hurts him to talk about this. This track is so sad but it is a really good song. The music is nice and soft and his vocals, as ever, are simply beautiful. I love this track and think this is a great version of the original song.

The first track on disc 1 is 'Workin' Day And Night'. I thought this was quite unusual to have as the first track on the whole album because it is perhaps one of his lesser well known songs. But you can't deny it is a great track and as it has a great beat to it I think it is a good song to put at the start of the album to get the party started! The next track is a remix of a few of Michael's songs, just little pieces of them like "who's bad" for example. This is the track you would have probably expected to be number one on the album. Also I don't really think it fits in having 'Childhood' as the next track because it goes from two quite happy upbeat tracks to a slower sad song. They are all amazing tracks but the order could be better. Especially because after 'Childhood' come two more party songs from the earlier The Jacksons days.

So you get a mix of Michael Jackson's own songs as well as some songs from The Jacksons and some from the Jackson 5 days. Number 12 on disc 1 is 'The Jackson 5 Medley' which yes you guessed it is a mix of some fantastic golden oldies from the extremely cute child Michael. After this track comes a mix of 'Speechless/Human Nature'. This starts with the intro to Speechless which is Michael singing acapella "your love is magical, thats how I feel..." then you get the intro music to Human Nature which was recently featured on Chris Brown's newish song "She Ain't You". All I have to say to him is "you ain't Michael"!! You can tell how amazing Michael Jackson is when even singers like Chris Brown are huge fans and take a load of inspiration from him even years after his music has been in the charts. By the way this is a brand new album, it came out in 2011. It is from Sony, I don't know how Michael would feel about Sony making new albums in his name after he fell out with them. But I do know that Michael Jackson is amazing and immortal is a great name for this album as it really sums up how incredible it is that even after he has died his music and his legacy still live on strong.

Disc 1 also features an acapella version of Thriller and a version of Dangerous which has remixes 'In the Closet'. This is an incredible, dancey song. Actually I think all these songs are amazing dance songs.

Disc 2 starts out with a remix of 'You Are Not Alone/I Just Can't Stop Loving You'. Even though I absolutely adore the original versions of both of these songs I have to say I'm not really too keen on this version of them both remixed in together. It is too stitled and the music sounds different in the background and again the order of the tracks on this disc as well doesn't seem to flow very well because I think this song is a bit too slow to have as a first track.

Some more of Michael's speeches are featured in this track, for example on track 4 which is a version of 'Earth Song' which has acapella parts that showcase Michael's astonishing vocals, this starts out with a speech about Planet Earth. I don't know where this speech is from. My favourite track from this disc has to be track 7, which is 'They Don't Care About Us'. The original of this is one of my favourite songs by Michael Jackson but I have to say this version of it is equally as incredible. It features a gospel choir which will give you goosebumps. My friend who is not really that into Michael Jackson (I'm sure she is deaf!) even admitted that this song is a winner. I also love the last track from this album which is a mix of 'Remember The Time/ Bad'. The way they have been mixed in together isn't that smooth it just sounds like one song going into the next basically, but the start of this is great. I like how it jumps in straight to the middle of the first verse, "Those sweet memories...". I could listen to this beginning over and over again, it is the best bit of the song in my opinion!

Overall the track listing on this album isn't very smooth and is a bit stilted however if you love Michael Jackson and his music half as much as I do then I'm sure you will like this album because it features loads of his songs and his beautiful talking voice as well as his amazing singing voice. It also features songs from every era (I think) from the Jackson 5 up to the Dangerous album and includes classic tracks like 'Beat It' 'Thriller' and 'Black or White' as well as some of his lesser known songs which gives a good variety of genres to the album. I would definitely recommend this to any Michael Jackson fan.
