I got this album in the winter of 2004, when I bought it I didn't really know much about the band what type of music they played and if I really liked them, after about a month of listen I had an answer for all of the questions. I learned all about the band from the booklet inside the case. I learned that they played punk rock/emo music. Finally I learned that this is one of albums and one of my favorite bands! This album is the second album of the used (there are 4 now) and is about the tragedies that the lead singer Bert McCracken went through that year. The album has an enormous variety of soft songs, heavy metal rock songs and straight out rock songs. The album also ... Read the complete review

This is The Used' second studio album, it also does not disappoint. The vocals are truely out of this world and the riffs are extremely catchy. The bands lead vocalist Bert Mccracken is a genious in himself. I am very much into unique, distinct sounding singers with their own style of singing and Bert has this to a tee!! I can recognise his voice straight away when he sings and this is what draws me in. Half of the album contains slow and slightly slow catchy verses, and the other half contains very upbeat tunes and great guitar riffs. Slow songs on this album include Yesterday's Feelings and, It's Hard To Say. Slightly slow tracks include All That ... Read the complete review

In love and death is the second album by the used. It is an Emo/rock album and one of the very few emo bands that i can stand, let alone like. But this album is amazing. There are one or two tracks that don't make the mark, but tracks such as "i'm a fake" make this album worth buying for the song alone. It has a feel to the album and the songs are all in the undeniable style of the used. I would consider it to be more on the rock side of things. The instruments are playe well and the vocals are great. There are some songs which are heavier and faster but others that are much more laid back. A coupl of these songs arn't the happiest ever made but they are still ... Read the complete review
