The image of this front cover has always alarmed me. Annie Lennox looks like a mannequin and only half of Dave Stewart made it onto the sleeve. Cover artwork aside, this is a fine collection of some of their biggest ever hits. Who are they: Scottish vocalist Annie Lennox and songwriter/producer Dave Stewart found fame in the eighties. Annie has had a successful solo career too. On this album: 'Love Is A Starnger' kicks things off. I never liked this song, finding the melody too creepy and her vocals shadowy and sinister. Maybe it is the synths which add to the eerie feel here. I am more drawn to 'Sweet Dreams' which has one of the most ...
