Cryonic Temple's third album moves more towards contemporary power metal than the late-eighties speed metal of their earlier releases, which serves to align it more with the ilk of Hammerfall and other unoriginal acts. These songs are catchy, fun and energetic, but it's nothing a fan of the genre hasn't heard before, and much better. Songs like 'When Hell Freezes Over' are flawless power metal but lacking in any defining characteristics, and even when the music speeds up it doesn't become correspondingly more exciting.
