In Utero is Nirvana's third studio album and another example of why they are considered one of the most inspirational bands of all time. From opener 'Serve the Servants' (Which sees Kurt singing about his distaste for his father) to the closing track 'Gallons of Rubbing Alcohol Flowing Through The Strip' (an Endless Nameless part 2). In Utero is a classic album. What is most striking about this album is the lyrics. Nirvanaologists are most fond of In Utero when looking for evidence of Kurt's demise. Personally i think it wonderfully combines the rawness of Bleach with the more mainstream Nevermind. Finding a nice balance in the middle. Once touring commneced on the album Kurt became increasingly unhappy with Albini's production and the final product. Personally i see no difference in quality when compared to any other album and considering the amount of pressure the badn was under during recording, i think it is a magnificent effort.

Summary: Magnificent Effort
