Teenage angst has paid off well. (In Utero - Nirvana)
Member Name: mattbarnes
Advantages: Rape Me and Serve The Servants Disadvantages: none
‘In Utero’ by Nirvana was their third and final masterpiece and was released on Geffen Records in 1993. This album I think is more personal lyrically to Kurt Cobain and clearly shows his state of mind when he wrote it. You can here in songs such as ‘Dumb’ and ‘All Apologies’ that he had drifted into depression and showed clear symptoms of self hate. However this album still contains some of my favourite songs like ‘Heart Shaped Box’, ‘Serve The Servants’, and the controversially titled ‘RAPE ME’. This will not be everyone’s preferred Nirvana album but who could beat ‘Nevermind’ and it’s success but this is still a high-quality album. Summary: |
