In Vitro Tide - Surface 10

Surface 10 is the nom de plume of Dean De Benedictis and contains some of the greatest ambient and serrated edged electronica available, without ever careening into the occasionally excessive harshness of Autechre. The music itself was generated between 1995-98, remixed a year later, and then released the year after that on the DIN label, run by Brit electronica father Ian Boddy. It is something of an unusual addition to the label and considered to be the most difficult to listen to all the label’s releases. Of all the ones I’ve heard it is also the best, the best by far.
