() - Sigur Ros ... As with all the Sigur Ros albums, this is AMAZING - absolutely beautiful! The CD consists of 8 tracks, label Sigur 1 - Sigur 8 respectively. EVERY song on this album is amazing and I just can t get enough of this band. Sigur Ros are a 4 piece from Iceland and sing in their own language called Vonlenska or Hopelandic to the English (which is a cross between English, Icelandic and Gibberish) and it is truly beautiful - even though you can t understand what they re saying, listening to them is one of the most amazing experiences ever. Stop Making Sense - Talking Heads ... is one of the most inventive live shows ever. David Byrne walking out with just an acoustic guitar and a tape recorder to play Psycho killer. The stage backing gradually dropping away, song by song, to reveal musician after musician, until about halfway through there s about twenty people on stage dancing, playing percussion instruments or samplers, or just dancing. The gig is impeccable. The filming and editing by Jonathan Demme (Silence of The Lambs) just adds another dimension. So what we have is a band in peak form, performing hit after hit, some of the most inventive choreography seen in a live performance from a band that is essentially a alternative band...... Different Class - Pulp ... Pulp Classic, and although its not my favourite Pulp album it is understandable why it is their best known. Misshapes relates to so many people who feel outcast, and is an uplifting and defiant Album I m not a big fan of Pencil Skirt, although it picks up where His n hers left off. Common People - as everyone knows - is a Pulp classic, and at 8 minutes long it still feels like a short and sweet pop song. I Spy is very dark and brooding and, i think, the albums highlight Disco 2000 - another classic, big riff, danceable Live Bed show - tells the story of a womans sex life through the viewpoint of her bed.
