I - Magnetic Fields ... Merritt, "frontman" of The Magnetic Fields (if such a reclusive, shy fellow can be considered a frontman) likes a challenge. Not content with his ambitious attempt to write 69 love songs - compiled in the aptly named "69 Love Songs" - he returns a couple of years after that masterpiece with another unusual plan: to compile an album of songs whose titles begin with the letter "I". Splinter - Offspring ... the release of smash on Epitaph records, the Offspring s popularity began to rapidly increase. This was followed by the impressive Ixnay on the hombre but it was the release of Americana and Conspiracy of one which really launched the Offspring into the limelight. This album comprises of some of the bands best work, whereas in the past the bands albums had always been fairly inconsistent; Louder Now is fantastic from start to finish and always here the music of Taking Back Sunday is greatly impressive. The album was released through Warner B... Read the full review: What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost? by rleigh |
