Premium Review Infinity On High - Fall Out Boy: Thanks For The Memories (1400 words)

Fall Out Boy are an American Pop Punk band hailing from the suburbs of Chicago. Consisting of four members, the band have been going since 2002 and have in this time released three albums and an eight track mini-album. Currently residing on Island Records, their home since 2003 - 'Infinity On High' is the bands third album and saw a commercial release back in the February of 2007. Featuring fourteen tracks (15 including the UK Bonus Track), 'Infinity On High' is arguably Fall Out Boy's finest album to date. I have always had somewhat of a soft spot for Pop Punk, and as such the music of Fall Out Boy is perfect for my liking. It is fantastically fun pop music ...  Read the complete review

To be honest I have never been a massively devoted Fall Out Boy fan. I would say I like them, but I never bought their whole albums and listened indefinitely. Riding the 'sugar we're going down' and 'dance, dance' band-wagon was all I could ever put my name down too. So I thought I would be a bit more adventurous this time and round, and try their whole album. I was amazed. A thing I liked about it was that their most famous songs (this ain't a scene, it's an arms race, and thnks fr th Mmrs) were the ones I listened to the least, which is quite unusual. Therefore meaning to me, that the quality of tracks on this album is so good that they do not need to get buy just on ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Infinity On High - Fall Out Boy: No fall out from me (321 words)

I guess I would describe this as sort of soft punk, the band hail from Chicago in the good old USA and you can detect the influence of Green Day in some of the tracks on this album. This is the first album of theirs that I have come across and it is pretty good. I think the name for the band comes from a character in the Simpsons but I may be wrong. This is a high energy album with some strong tracks on it and certainly after a couple of plays in the car it had really started to grow on me a lot. There is a strong guitar and drum influence to the bands music and whilst at times these make the vocals rather hard to discern the overall quality of the album ...  Read the complete review

Fall out boy: Infinity on High This is a brilliant album I love it! Fall out boy are an amazing band have produced some really good work. Thriller: This song is a great start song and I love the lyrics! The Take Over, Breaks Over: This song has a great video you can see it n you tube just type in the name of the song and who it's by. The dog in the video is so cute I want one. The wat that Patrick sung the lyrics of these songs are amazing I don't think he could have done a better job. This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race: this was the first song I heard off this album I loved it but it was repeated a lot on the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Infinity On High - Fall Out Boy: Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High (280 words)

This is the third album from Fall Out Boy so far - while this probably isn't the best one so far, certain tracks, such as the chart topping "This aint a scene, its an arms race" and "The Carpal tunnel of Love" are amazing. These aren't really emo songs, but they are the kind you listen to when you're feeling a bit down. The lyrics, as always with FOB, are amazingly in depth for such a young band. The album mixes the already known Fall Out Boy's emocore/pop punk style with a little R&B and hip-hop. Some magazines describe the album as "post-emo". This is definitely an album which shows Fall Out Boy's ...  Read the complete review
