Advantages: Good album, very enjoyable
Disadvantages: None
I guess I would describe this as sort of soft punk, the band hail from Chicago in the good old USA and you can detect the influence of Green Day in some of the tracks on this album. This is the first album of theirs that I have come across and it is pretty good. I think the name for the band comes from a character in the Simpsons but I may be wrong.
This is a high energy album with some strong tracks on it and certainly after a couple of plays in the car it had really started to grow on me a lot. There is a strong guitar and drum influence to the bands music and whilst at times these make the vocals rather hard to discern the overall quality of the album shines through.
Thriller is a great opening track whilst This Ain't Scene It's an Arms Race is a really good anthem with a chors that is well suited to crowd involvement on a live stage.
After Life of the Party and Fame Infamy are also great tracks with a good level of energy, when needed the band can slow things down and there is a good range on this album however when they are really going for it that is when they excel.
