Hello. Remember me? I do hate these introductory colloquial first-persony bits, but it's gotta be done. And just when you thought you'd saw the last of me, no? Oh, but I've lost it. I don't know where to/how to/if I should start. Um. OK. If I'm honest, I've never thought of Green Day as one of my favourite bands. You know who Green Day (Dya, naturally) are? Y'heard of them? Billie Joe Armstrong (and the scariest eyes in showbusiness, ever). Mike Dirnt. Tré Cool. That's about the shape of it. Cal-Punk pioneers all three of them - but Green Day have been around far longer than the majority of the 'Nu' Skate-Punk pretenders ... Read the complete review

'International Superhits' was released in late 2001, a greatest hits compilation album featuring two new songs also. The two new songs are those of 'Maria' and 'Poprocks & Coke', neither of which I find to be particularly enjoyable; the rest of the album however is definitely worth taking a listen to. Twenty one tracks are featured here; the two newly recorded tracks are featured first and then nineteen of the bands greatest 'International Superhits' follow. Tracks 3-7 are from the bands most commercially successful album 'Dookie'. The most obviously included track here is of course 'Basket Case', it's those of 'Welcome to Paradise' and 'She' that appeal ... Read the complete review

Green Day were the first band I liked during my 'Crossover' from Rap to Rock. I loved how they'd sing just happy and merry songs yet have some of the deepest and most thought provoking lyrics. They're kind of a perfect middle between heavy-metal and soft rock, with a little bit of shouting in some songs, yet they'd maintain their cool and not go to overboard while shouting like maniacs. I love their Music and everything they stand for. The band is made up of the cocky, arrogant San Fransico born Billie Joe Armstrong (Vocals and guitar) the hilarious long time friend of Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt (Lead guitarist) and the last addition to the ... International superhits was a greatest hits album released by green day in 2001. It basically contained their best song from the albums they had released up until the year 2001, which were 39/Smooth, Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning. Although only being released in 2001 it did not of course contain any songs from American idiot or their new album so its not entirely up to date and so perhaps another greatest hits album from the band could be there in the future. In total there are 21 songs on this album which is great to see, and I would say that all of them are pretty much top class songs as well. Looking at the track list, I cant really see ...
