 ... it is an album to sit and listen to and absorb. Yes it does rock but it's also very emotional and at times, epic. Both Native Son and Remembrance Day (each over 6 minutes in length) are narratives backed with fantastic arrangements that you just don't want to stop listening to. The follow up to the classic 'Reckless' was always likely to be criticised for either being a carbon copy of its predecessor or a total sell out. It's neither. What it is, in fact, is the most unique album of Adams' career. Accused of sounding a little like U2 (it does but that's no bad thing) and lacking in the radio friendliness of Reckless (no bad thing either), it is an album to sit and listen to and absorb. Yes it does rock but it's also very emotional and at times, epic. 'Into the fire' is a CD containing 10 songs. The songs are well written and have good meaning but still this CD is my least favourite of the whole Bryan Adams collection. Most of the songs are mellow, slow and thoughtprovoking but poor in the style that Bryan Adams is associated with. I'm not sure why this CD consisted of these type of tracks, only than to speculate on a certain amount of disillutionment or new direction tried.
