Paying extended tribute to traditional doom metal in the style of Cathedral and - to a much greater extent - Candlemass, All Souls' Day is a curious outfit that has remained sporadically active for the last seventeen years, but has only a single album to show for it. With its tellingly bleak artwork, song titles and extended song lengths, this album is contented to slip inside the style perfected by their forebears, albeit a little less effectively.
