... Hothouse Flowers are far greater live than the records they produce.
Admittedly, there's a couple that aren't to my taste and there was better to choose that didn't make the album for whatever reason - 'Alright' should have been knocked out of the way for a tremendous nerve tingling 'Last Few Minutes' which didn't make the cut. 'Santa Monica' (Fíachna's first lead vocal on record) also sits on the subs bench for me.

Long awaited album etc etc. You've heard it all before. BUT you've not heard all of this before. 'Into Your Heart' is a collection of songs written by all members of Hothouse Flowers either individually or collectively. It's an amazing mixture of passion, fun, angst and happiness. It's also intriguing to hear Liam O Maonlaí singing songs not of his own - much like many songs from it's 1998 predecessor 'Born'. But this is the way the band has ventured out - they all write and collaborate with others. Explorers not just chained to one home.
