Ionica Minune, the slightly portly Romanian accordionist who seems to keep quite a straight face in comparison to some of his jovial countrymen is an interesting listen. Whilst his band are nothing that stand out in particular and the singers that join him on this album are solid but not spectacular, his accordian playing really gets to show off as much as it deserves. He plays so quick at times, you expect to see little flames trailing from his fingers and the noise often goes in to overdrive like a shooting sound on a computer game yet still retains a traditional melody.
