It just seems so easy to poke fun at Jessica Simpson nowadays - she?s too pop or too R&B, she?s too cliché (think about it - this is music. Damn near all music is cliché by now), or damn it, she?s blonde, and you know what they say about blondes in the pop industry. I?ve only seen two magazines in which this album has been reviewed - People and Entertainment Weekly (neither of which are usually too reliable, to me) and both have (unfairly, I think) panned Irresistible to hell and back. Maybe it was the breasts, people seem to hate the breasts. Having enjoyed Sweet Kisses enough to dismiss all of the negative comments, and having thrown aside my rampant jealousy ... I bought Jessica Simpson's cd, Irresistible ... and I think that is really Irresistible. There are only 12 songs, but they're ALL very good. I'm a big fan of her, I bought her first album, Sweet Kisses, and it was really good too. As the first album, Irresistible is a mix of different sounds. There are dance tracks, R&B tracks, pop tracks and ballads. Personally, all the tracks are very good because Jessica has got a GREAT voice. But, now, I want give my opinion of the album, track by track: 1- Irresistible: The track starts off with dialogue, Jessica saying: "You know, I don't know what it is. But everything about ... Introduction ************** Jessica Simpson first burst onto the music scene in 1999 with her debut single “I wanna love you forever”. The number ten single was then followed by her debut album “Sweet Kisses” (see past op). The first album by Jessica was not much of a success compared to the likes of Britney Spears. It is evident in this her second album entitled “Irresistible” that, in an attempt to gain more sales, Jessica has become raunchier and also has gone down the pop path a bit more trying to rival the pop princess Britney Spears. Does she succeed? Well she certainly tries! The Album Songs ... Read the complete review

This was Jessica Simpsons second album which was released back in 2001. To be honest I wasnt overly impressed with this material. The album provided a varied and mixed bag of songs, some ballads, some pop and some gospel. I feel the whole album just sounded way too manufactured at times. Sometimes Jessica Simpson sounded like she was trying way too hard to be a pop star. The track listing for the album I have is as follows: 1. Irresistable 2. A Little Bit 3. Forever In Your Eyes 4. There You Were (Duet With Marc Anthony) 5. What's It Gonna Be 6. When You Told Me You Loved Me 7. Hot ... Read the complete review
