Advantages: Couple of catchy pop tunes

Disadvantages: At times just sounded really cheesy and fake

This was Jessica Simpsons second album which was released back in 2001.

To be honest I wasnt overly impressed with this material. The album provided a varied and mixed bag of songs,some ballads,some pop and some gospel.

I feel the whole album just sounded way too manufactured at times.
Sometimes Jessica Simpson sounded like she was trying way too hard to be a pop star.

I found one track especially hard to listen to and this is "his eye is on the sparrow" this is the last track on the album,and is gospel, I just feel this style or sound didnt suit Jessica Simpson at all. This song in particular sounded very forced and unnatural. As you listen to other tracks on this album I feel you hear more of this uneasiness and fakeness in Simpsons vocals.

To be fair there were only 2 songs I really liked,these were the somewhat more commercially successful: Irresistable and A little bit. I found these 2 tracks very catchy and just fun to listen to. I reckon that pop is more Jessica Simpsons genre,she just sings and soundsa lot more confident in these 2 tracks than in any others on the whole album.

Summary: Very talented singer but this album didnt really do her voice/vocals justice
