Advantages: It's Elvis!

Disadvantages: But he's singing some not very good songs

During the 1960s Elvis Presley really got stuck in a rut making movies. He knew he had the ability to be an excellent actor, but unfortunately his management never bothered to get him good parts, instead he was always on the treadmill of making formulaic movies. All of his movies made money, even the duff ones, so what would be the point of killing the goose that laid the golden egg?

Despite the poorness of some of the movies, they all shared one positive element of course - the presence of Elvis Presley and his wonderful voice. This album features songs from 2 of his 1960s movies, IT HAPPENED AT THE WORLDS' FAIR and FUN IN ACAPULCO. The songs are average, including the particularly dreadful NO ROOM TO RHUMBA IN A SPORTS CAR. There is fun to be had with a couple of songs, such as BOSSA NOVA BABY but to be honest this is a lesser release in the Elvis canon.
