"St Pauli" is a slower, rhythmic song about how punk rock is not dead. The title is a reference to the Football club/district in Hamburg (which is why there are a few German lyrics in the song), but the song fails to stand out on the album.

Art Brut are a five piece indie rock band from Dorset. "It's A Bit Complicated", the band's second album, was released under Mute records in early 2007, to mixed reviews. The album consists of 11 songs, all of which match the high standard set by the band's first album, "Bang Bang Rock And Roll". However, where "Bang Bang Rock And Roll" is a fun, careless album full of humour and vitality. In comparison, the sophomore album by the group is centred around much deeper topics, although the humour still remains.
