Advantages: Funny lyrics, catchy songs, a more mature feel

Disadvantages: Strong Language - not an issue for me but could be for some.

I downloaded this album a couple of months ago now not long after its release and feel its been played enough times to warrant a review from myself.

Lily Allen is a lot like marmite, you either love her or hate her, people have even looked at me in disgust when I have mentioned that I have and really enjoy listening to this album.

Sure she can be a bit stupid press wise like getting her breasts out in full view on a beach and getting horrendously drunk at a VIP party but hey shes in her 20s so give her a chance, I am 24 and often get stupidly drunk too, luckily though I don't have paparazzi following me around my home town on a Friday night!

I was drawn to purchasing this album after hearing her sing Not Fair on Saturday Night Live with Ant and Dec, hell if she can sing a song that dirty on tv and release it as a single I wanted to hear more.

The album consists of 12 tracks of which she has currently released two as singles, the first being The Fear and Not Fair.

My top tracks on the album are as follows:

Everyones At It - This song is about drug use within celebrities and Lily's humorous lyrics will have you smiling, it also has a good vocal background and a nice bass beat to it.

The Fear - This was Lily's first single released from the album and is about the life of being a celebrity, hopes, dreams and the harsh world of the tabloids telling stories on her including the stripping off incident. Its got some explicit language in it but most of her songs do.

Its Not Fair - My favourite song on the album all about the sexual relationship between her and a man who just can't give her that magic feeling, the edited radio version is ok but the album version is really funny and I am sure a lot of ladies out there can relate to it!

22 - This song is about an older lady looking back at being 22 and you get the feeling Lily has some regrets and can see this being her in a few years time.

F*** You - This is Lily Allen's goodbye song to dear old George W Bush and I would have loved to have seen his face if he had been played this but I doubt he will ever hear it which is a shame, lots of the F word in it as the title suggests! Funniest track on the album!

There is not a song on the album that I don't like, a lot of the other tracks are love related but not too gushy, nearly all the tracks have a humorous feel to them and this album is more mature than her first, not one to play round the kids though as the F*** You song is very catchy and well the teachers won't be happy!

Summary: Sex and Swearing but on an ok level!
