Whilst looking for Radiohead songs the other day I found a Pink Floyd cover, (‘Wish you were here’) which Sparklehorse featured on (apparently they were Radiohead’s support band of choice). I decided that I liked their sound and wanted to investigate further, so I borrowed ‘It’s a wonderful life’ from Stafford Library for around £2. i dont know as much as i should about sparklehorse. I do however know what i like, and i like this. its a little gem of an album, full of absolutely beautiful tracks, and beaultiful is the word. what makes it elegant is that singer mark linkous is joined by the fabulous Nina Persson of the Cardigans, who in my opinion has one of the sexiest, beautiful (there that word again) voices there is (check out Gran Turismo).
