Advantages: RnB, Soul, Hiphop, Ballads, slow music, some upbeat tracks
Disadvantages: None
'Jagged Little Thrill' is Jagged Edge's third album, one of the ones I've got as I was pretty enthusiastic about this US RnB group after listening to 'Jagged Era' and 'J.E.Heartbreak'..
The most popular track off this album is 'Where the Party At' which was a collaboration with Nelly and was a great party and club hit over here in 2001.
Most of the tracks on this album are slow tracks with a smooth RnB and soul feel to them.
Some of my favourite tracks are 'Goodbye' which was also one of the singles off this album and 'Remedy' which is one of those with really interesting lyrics.
The ones I like most are 'Girl It's Over' and 'Without You' which are the best tracks on the album in my opinion. The lyrics which are nicely written and worth a good listen and both tracks have a rather unique style to them compared to other RnB tracks with a blend of interesting background tracks and great vocals and harmonies from the group. They also sing with such passion that makes you feel like you can actually relate to the storylines of the track.
There's a few more upbeat tracks like 'Cut Something', 'I Got It' and 'Driving Me to Drink' which I am not wholly keen on as I think the group are excellent with the ballads but these tracks pick the album up where it could have gone too 'ballady':)
Other tracks like 'Can We Be Tight', 'Best Man' 'This Goes Out' and 'Head of Household' are slow chilled out melodies with interesting lyrics.
There's 17 tracks on this album with the last 3 being remixes of two of their most popular tracks 'Let's Get Married' and 'Promise' which were both hits from their second album 'J.E.Heartbreak'.
The Jagged Edge guys sound great together with good harmony and mixes in their tracks and they compliment one another rather well.
This is one of the most successful 'boy bands' or groups in the US and this could easily be one of their best albums, it is one of my faves..
