Advantages: Some great uptempo tracks.
Disadvantages: The slower songs are a tad disappointing.
Jagged Little Thrill is the third studio album released by US based Jagged Edge. It was released in July 2001 and peaked at number three in the billboard 200 chart in the US.
Jagged Little Thrill tracklist:
1. "The Saga Continues"
2. "Where the Party At" (feat. Nelly)
3. "Goodbye"
4. "Cut Somethin'" (feat. Ludacris)
5. "Girl It's Over"
6. "Can We Be Tight"
7. "I Got It" (feat. Trina)
8. "Best Man"
9. "Without You"
10. "Driving Me to Drink"
11. "This Goes Out"
12. "Respect"
13. "Head of Household"
14. "Remedy"
Of the above, three singles were released, the first being the uptempo 'Where The Party At' which featured raps from Nelly. This was a very successful track, reaching number one on the US billboard hot 100. This was an extremely catchy song and received heavy airplay.
The second single, 'Goodbye' was nowhere near as successful as their previous effort and reached only number 58 in the hot 100 chart. This was a much more slow-paced song in comparison to 'Where The Party At' which was an upbeat party track. If Jagged Edge had continued in that style, I feel they would have had much more mainstream success.
'I Got It' was the third and final track from this album to be released as a single and featured vocals and a rap from Trina. This song did not even enter the hot 100 chart.
The album overall, is a good quality album. In my opinion, not as good as their previous effort (J.E. Heartbreak) but this had some fantastic tracks. It has been certified Platinum.
Summary: Solid offering but this does not quite reach its potential.
