As soon as I bought the album,Just Enough Education To Perform, the inevitable questions began running through my mind.Would this album be able to match up to the standards of its predecessors,Word Gets Around and Performance And Cocktails?Would it let every Stereophonics fan down and be what nobody really expected or hoped it would be?Fortunately, there isn't reason to be disappointed as soon as you hear it.Opening with Vegas Two Times,a track that restores every faith in the mind of the average Stereophonics fan that thankfully they haven't lost their 'rock' edge.Combined with the enigmatic sounds of guitars and drums, the rather ambitious addition of gospel singers and the faultless voice of lead singer Kelly Jones,Vegas Two Times makes a first class opening track. We can see however how Stereophonics have matured as a band and while we all love timeless classics like The Bartender and the Thief and Too Many Sandwiches there is this certain effect that Just Enough Education To Perform has on you. When you hear tracks such as Lying In The Sun,Caravan Holiday and Rooftop the listener will almost certainly find themselves with the same lump in their throat that they found listening to Billy Davey's Daughter for example.Lying In The Sun has the ability to capture a side to life many of us will often take for granted but after listening to this deeply moving track you cannot help but wish there was more we could do in this world.Everyday I Think Of Money is a subject we can all relate to and contains great irony-which as with Lying In The Sun makes us appreciate and reflect on the lives we do lead,no matter how bad we think they may be. As always there is a happy go lucky song in Have A Nice Day-the ideal song to wake you up in the morning. You'll also recognise Mr Writer-the phonics tongue in cheek ode to journalists.Overall,I cannot recommend this album enough-if you are looking for deep thought expressed by a voice that could make the hairs on the
back of your neck stand up than what are you waiting for?Add Just Enough Education To Perform to your collection now!

Hi.Very good op.I love the stereophonics but i think their other albums are better than JEEP sadly!Mind you, i've probably grown immune to their genius after years of listening to them and seeing them live.

Pretty good op, but would be much easier to read if it was more spaced out.
LOVE the Stereophonics, and hope you'll check out my review of their Scala gig.
