Advantages: BUTCHER BLUES
Disadvantages: ORANGE
KASABIAN is the title of Leicester indie rock band KASABIAN's album.
The album features 13 tracks.
The opening song CLUB FOOT has a belting intro which is really powerful. When the lyrics kick in the tempo increases with some fantastic lyrics and great instrumental support.
PROCESSED BEATS features great guitar work which helps the lyrics flow along with a fantastic rhythm and superb melodies.
REASON IS TREASON tells a good story through the lyrics and the vocals are edgy creating an excellent sound.
ID starts of slow though cranks up a notch at the chorus which has a vigorous sound with great vocals while there is a cockiness that enhances the music.
ORANGE is nothing more than album filler on the album, but LSF is a cracking tune with a wonderful intro that is full of energy. The song has an uplifting effect through the instrumental work.
RUNNING BATTLE contains some nice lyrics with even better guitar work which has a positive vibe.
TEST TRANSMISSION is a powerful song sung with genuine emotion and the guitar at full throttle really rocks.
PINCH ROLLER is short, but sweet and sets up CUTT OFF which is a bouncy tune with a catchy chorus high on energy and needs to be cranked up on the volume.
My favourite song on the album is BUTCHER BLUES. On this track the lyrics are superb with the vocals sounding at their best. Once the instruments kick in the sound is great with nice melodies and a terrific rhythm.
OVARY STRIPE is a gentle track with a feel good factor though lacks energy of other songs.
The last song on the album is U BOAT which is full of vigour vocally and the lyrical department is on top form as are the guitar and drums.
Overall, this is a superb album. The music is full of energy which is helped by the vigorous vocals. There is a arrogance to the music which is positive while the guitar and drums are superb at creating a unique sound.
Avaliable from AMAZON at £4.98 this is arguably the best British band at the moment.
