Christina is the anti-Britney; the naughty to Britney's nice, the innovator who makes her rival look like a puppet - or so she'd like to think. Her presumptuously-titled Greatest Hits collection highlights Aguilera's laid-back work ethic; ten years in the industry has seen her release only three studio records, of which two were huge successes, and the third moderately so. 'Genie In A Bottle' kicks the chronological tour of C-Ag's career off, all sweetness with a hint of sexy. Follow-ups 'What A Girl Wants', 'I Turn To You' and 'Come On Over Baby' fail to make the best use of a vocal as tailored as any could be to power-pop, but Christina shines on 'Lady Marmalade', a ... This is Christina Aguilera's greatest hits album: released a little prematurely perhaps, but it shows off the fact that Aguilera has released a lot of pretty good songs! I bought it for three reasons: I own Stripped and Back to Basics, but not Christina's first album so I wanted her early singles like Genie in a Bottle (wouldn't be keen on buying the entire debut album). I also wanted the new songs and remixes. In addition I wanted the disc with the music videos, which is available with some editions of this CD. Track Listing 1. Genie In A Bottle 2. What A Girl Wants 3. I Turn To You 4. Come On Over Baby 5. Nobody ... Read the complete review

Let us inspect this so called decade of hits! 'Genie In A Bottle' brings back some fond memories of when she was all sweet and innocent. A cleverly crafted pop song which plays with a hint of r and b while retaining a pop edge. It is a solid start. 'What A Girl Wants' is quite appetising, with a chunky chorus and some good little hooks to latch onto. I quite enjoy the breathy vocals on 'Nobody Wants To Be Lonely' which benefits from a rousing ... Read the complete review
